About Us

We provide children below statutory school age with high quality care and education

Our pre-school originally started in 1972 as St. Mary's Playgroup and was taken over by the current manager Lesley Hart in September 2008 when we changed our name to Tree Tots Pre-School. We are a family run business, who strive to provide an accessible and enabling environment for the children. Although we are an independently owned setting set in the grounds of Jotmans Hall Primary School, we have a great relationship with the school who allow us to use their facilities.

We value diversity, promote equality, equal opportunities and ensure inclusion in our setting. We recognise the importance of enabling all our children and their family’s equal access to the facilities and activities we offer.

We work in partnership with parents who are the prime careers to help children learn and develop by ensuring parents are valued and respected, involved and kept informed in all that we do.

Partnership is key in our setting ensuring we keep close contacts with parents, the local community, outside agencies and other early year’s settings

We work in partnership with parents who are the prime carers to help children learn and develop by ensuring parents are valued and respected, involved and kept informed in all that we do.

Partnership is key in our setting ensuring we keep close contacts with parents, the local community, outside agencies and other early year’s settings.

We offer ‘settling in’ sessions which will help your child familiarise themselves with the pre-school and their key person. It will also provide us the opportunity to discuss with you any support your child may need before they start. Care routines will be discussed including nappy changing. We are able to administer prescribed medicines once the appropriate form has been completed.

Promoting positive behaviour is very important to us. We will always discuss any concerns we may have with you in order to maintain a consistent approach between home and the setting.

We undertake risk assessments on the pre-school building every day before the children arrive. We also regularly risk assess all of our toys and equipment and review appropriately. Risk assessments are always undertaken for outings and short walks around the community and any events that we hold such as sports day. All of these findings from the risk assessments can be found in our policies.
